![]() ![]() The only adornments being rondels on the turrets to aid in recognition by friendly aircraft. That said, WarGaming did an amazing job with HMS Hood and I really love all 4 of the cosmetic paint schemes which can be applied.įirst we have the very nice, clean all gray scheme. ![]() Hood isn't ugly, but I can't call her beautiful either. I want to say that I find HMS Hood to be a funny looking ship. Now I have her, and boy isn't she something special. So thusly, I committed to purchasing her and when I saw the amazing stuff that came with the mega-bundle, I decided I wanted it all. As the ship evolved in the last stage of testing, my interest was piqued enough that I decided I would get HMS Hood even if she were a bit on the weak side because people like Notser and LWM were starting to have some legitimately good things to say in favor of Hood. First, I saw that Notser was continually revising his opinion of the ship, even before small improvements were made to it, and I started to become interested. Early Community Contributor reviews tended to mirror this opinion also, but then things started to change. HMS Hood appeared to be an undergunned t7 Battleship with very little in the way of strengths, and many, many weaknesses. The data mined stats came out, and it looked like I was probably right. Initially, I had planned to not buy Hood, as she was quite honestly a pretty mediocre ship in reality, and I expected her manifold flaws to be really apparent in the game with very little to offset them. It was no shock to me when WarGaming started to tease her as a premium battleship. I've known all along that HMS Hood would come into World of Warships at some point, and for most of the time I've expected her to be a premium ship, since she was a one off ship and with her particular history as the pride of the British Navy cut down early in her only engagement. ![]()
